Como Cathedral

Splendid monument of Christian art, the Cathedral's work began in 1396, to be completed only in 1595, hence affirming different and several styles. In the next centuries some others add ons were made, such as the chapels and the cupola. Among the famous artists who took part to its erection and decoration, one should not forget Filippo Juvara, Rodari brothers, Luini, Morazzone and Ferrari.
Given the large amount of bishops who were later venerated as saints (such as St. Probinus, St. Abundius, St. Leo the Great, St. Prosper and St. Marianus - to name but a few), one should consider that not only the cathedral, but the entire region...inspires saintity.
